Table of Contents

The Audi RS 5 Second Generation will be a good option if you are looking for a high-performance, fast car. If you are looking for a cheap price car with efficient fuel economy, don’t even consider having this machine under your foot. The Audi RS5 Sportback and the Audi RS5 are the two quickest variants of the Audi A5. Both have amazing performance and the same brand, RS (Racing Sport), except the Sportback has four doors. Compared with competitors, it has a couple of drawbacks, but Audi has built its fan base by providing AWD technology.

Engine Performance

The Audi RS 5 Second Generation has a stylish exterior and a 2.9-liter V6 TFSI engine with twin turbochargers. It’s designed to be lightweight, which is one of the reasons why this car is up to 60 kilograms lighter than the previous first-generation model. This lighter weight makes the car more agile and efficient. Despite its lightness, the engine still produces a powerful 450 horsepower and 600 Newton-meters of torque, which is evenly distributed to all four wheels through the quattro system with a Sport differential.

This car can go really fast. 0 to 62 miles per hour can be done in just 3.9 seconds. But it’s not just about speed. It would be best if you drove it yourself to understand. It has great traction with its all-wheel-drive system and excellent brakes.

Interior Of Audi RS5

The interior of the Audi RS 5 Coupe is both classy and comfortable. When you see the inside, you’ll want to drive it even more. Everything inside, like the comfortable RS Sport seats, heated front seats with a massage option, and the dashboard’s design, is done in subtle, dark colors. You can do a little customization if you want to.

The Audi Virtual Cockpit is like the car’s central hub, and it shows you important information like how much power the car is using and how fast you’re going around corners. Instead of the usual dashboard, it has a high-quality 12.3-inch screen and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. You can personalize it by pressing the view button on the steering wheel. You can choose between the classic view, which prominently displays the speedometer and rev counter, or the infotainment view and the media with clear 3D graphics.

You can also connect your smartphone to the car using the Smartphone Interface. This way, you can use your phone with the car’s steering wheel controls or your voice. The added MMI Navigation lets you easily control the car’s navigation system with a touchpad in the center. This makes sure you always have the latest maps available.

Exterior of Audi RS5

The Audi RS 5 Coupe took inspiration from the very special and famous four-door Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO. The car had a wide opening from the front side, a noticeable wheel area, and a wide, low shape. The design elements may give nostalgia about the history of motorsport.

Matrix LED Lights

The Audi RS 5 is equipped with Matrix LED headlights that are similar to natural daylight. When the matrix light senses other vehicles or bright lights, these Matrix LED headlights adjust brightness by dimming certain LED lights to avoid blinding other drivers. However, they continue to illuminate the road ahead fully. In some cases, Matrix LED technology can even use the car’s navigation system to predict when you’re approaching a turn and adjust the headlights accordingly.

Quattro with Sports Differential

The road conditions are always changing, considering this Audi-equipped RS5 with a Quattro system, a standard feature in the RS5 Coupe. This system automatically assesses the grip on sharp turns and in rainy weather. It then automatically sends power to the wheel that needs it most, ensuring maximum traction. The main function of this system is to handle the toughest everyday road conditions. Moreover, the Sport differential makes Quattro all-wheel drive even more impressive.

Audi RS 5 Carbon Edition

The Carbon Edition adds more than just a touch of sports car looks to the Audi RS5. Everything about this version exudes a dynamic performance car look, from a carbon roof and engine cover on the outside to Matt aluminum style details and carbon inlays within.

Options to choose

You can make your Audi RS 5 unique by choosing from a variety of optional features. Some options are conveniently bundled, while others can be selected individually. Whether you want advanced parking assistance with Audi Pre-sense Rear or want to enhance the exterior with the Carbon Black Styling Pack, you can create your perfect combination of Audi technology.

Audi Genuine Accessories

Audi played very smartly by giving control to consumers to select and choose the accessories they want. Audi will be providing standard accessories, but it’s where you do the upselling and make more revenue for the company, and Audi did it in the best way.

Business Pack: It offers a handy place to store items like laptops and suit jackets.

Comfort Pack Assists you in staying organized, including a practical boot tidy and a coat hanger.

Protection Pack: Protects your interior from mud, spills, and everyday wear and tear.

Touring Pack Has a cool box, storage space in the rear seats, and additional features.

Automotive Journalist Review

The Audi RS 5 is larger, lighter, quicker, cleaner, and cleverer than its predecessor – observations underscored by the car’s well-built, comfortable, practical interior and attractive exterior looks. (Autocar‘s Nic Cackett)

In general, the RS5 provides a relatively comfortable, but it doesn’t handle as smoothly if compared with the competitors. If you are considering a car with good space, the Audi RS5 Sportback is better than the Coupe. Primarily, Audi offered three trim levels. The entry-level trim is RS5, Mid-Spec Carbon black has bigger alloys and different styling, and top-spec Vorsprung is equipped with matrix LED lights, lane-keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control, and adaptive sports suspension, including dynamic steering. Suppose you want to buy a car with the same budget. In that case, we recommend also checking other options because the 2021 car reliability survey reported Audi RS5 as 18th out of 30 automotive manufacturers and BMW ranked 13th. The regular sports suspension feels more stable than the adaptive setup in the top-of-the-line Vorsprung models.
